Vintage : 2016
Varietal Information : 100% Shiraz
Colour : Deep purple red.
Aromatics : Lifted nose of dark raspberry, floral notes and some spice and earth characters
Palate : Lovely vibrant fruit driven palate. Layers of red and dark fruits, a hint of chocolate and coffee. A well balanced wine with a fine lingering finish.
Cellaring : Will reward careful cellaring for 5-7 years or more.
Vineyard Notes: 2016 was a strong vintage, the low yields produced concentrated fruit with good structure
Six parcels of fruit were sourced from 3 estate vineyards. All parcels were fermented and aged separately prior to blending. Aged for 15 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd use French oak barrels of which 15% were new.
Food Pairing: Dry-aged rib roast with red wine jus and crispy garlic potatoes
