A brief talk will set the scene for our voyage beyond the Solar System into the vast depths of the Universe. We’ll explore: Colourful Nebulae, Sparkling Star Clusters, Remnants of Stellar Explosions, Distant Spiral Galaxies, and Quasars at the Edge of the Universe.
Our powerful electronic telescopes will capture real-time images of celestial objects millions to billions of light-years away. These images will be projected onto nearby screens, allowing you to enjoy the views in comfort. Conventional optical telescopes will also be available for guests to look through. Expert commentary will accompany the viewing sessions, enhancing your understanding and enjoyment.

About Our Astronomer:
Kym Thalassoudis enjoys a life-long passion for astronomy and space, with special interests in supernovae, astronomy outreach, and electronically assisted astronomy. Since January 2000, Kym has published The Evening Sky Map each month at Skymaps.com, helping tens of thousands of sky watchers worldwide discover the wonders of the Universe. Kym is a Past President of the Astronomical Society of South Australia and, prior to retirement, was employed for 30 years as a rocket propulsion scientist, leading a team of scientists, engineers and technicians.
